Shifting Perspective

If we can spark movement toward a paradigm shift in the workplace, we can change the way we define a meaningful and successful work experience. The emphasis should not only be on monetary gain and economic success, but on building strong interpersonal connections and leading happy, healthy lives. Employees who are happier and healthier have been shown to perform better on the job…and play can be a catalyst of these advantages! Adults regularly engaging in play could have a positive effect on society and the way we interact with one another and the world around us.

Google has the right idea…a slide in the office! Wouldn’t that make getting to a meeting a little more enjoyable?

  1. I would LOVE to have a slide at work, at the mall, at the airport, or at the grocery store. I think having the opportunity to mentally let go of our responsibilities for a moment and give ourselves the chance to laugh and have fun is indeed what will keep us young.
