I’m a recent college graduate and passionate advocate for play throughout the life course! My interest in the topic of adult playfulness blossomed when I wrote my senior thesis on an emerging business model that incorporates a recess-like period into the workday of corporate America (you can access my thesis in its entirety through this blog). While researching for my project, however, I discovered that information on this topic is scarce and very little data has been published on it. Play is an important aspect of all of our lives and I want to make this information available to people who are interested in how playing as an adult can positively influence how you navigate the world around you.
Through this blog I hope to enlighten you on how play can help balance your life. I will also write about what I’ve learned through conducting interviews with corporate employees to help fill the gap of information that exists on the topic of adult play in the workplace.
I keep myself balanced by traveling, exploring, hiking, kayaking, adventuring, and meditating. I love refinishing old furniture and giving it new life, photographing the beauty I see in the world and sharing it with others, impacting the environment in a positive way, and I especially love a great cup of coffee!
Don’t think about it, play about it!
